Villainy is a word game for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. We designed it to collect as little information about you as possible — and we mean it.
Villainy does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party tracking. Your games live on your device.
If you sign in to Apple's Game Center, Villainy uses it for matchmaking and online multiplayer. Your Game Center player identifier, display name, and avatar are handled by Apple and shared with your opponents as part of a match. We do not receive or store this information on any server of our own. Game Center is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Villainy can host games with nearby players over Bluetooth and your local network. Your device name and game moves are shared directly with the other players in the match. This traffic is peer-to-peer and never passes through our servers.
If you grant permission, Villainy uses notifications to let you know when it's your turn. Notification delivery is handled by Apple's push notification service.
Games in progress, settings, and scores are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data.
We do not collect analytics or usage data.
We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
We do not use third-party SDKs that track you.
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with anyone.
We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We have nothing to retain. Any data exchanged during multiplayer exists only on the participating devices and within Apple's Game Center service.
If we ever change how Villainy handles data, we will update this document and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
